I can't wait for Christmas to get here. Not because I'm wanting presents or anything, but I just want my kid to calm the hell down. He's hyped out of his mind!
When I went to deliver the cookies to his teacher, they were having Polar Express Day at school. All the kids got to wear their jammies, yea my kid was rocking the Hefner look with his robe, and they were gonna have activities to do all day.
You should have heard the chaos in those hallways. Kids screaming and hopping all around. I visited my friend who is a teacher as well and she asked if I wanted to stay and help with the kids. Um NOT! I got the hell out of there as soon as I could.
And school is now officially out for Christmas break. So what does my kid do on his first morning of vacation? His little ass gets up at 7 in the morning while I'm getting ready for work. And I even let him stay up late last night watching TV. Why won't he get up that early when he has school?
It's because Christmas is right around the corner. He's so pumped up about Santa that he can't think of anything else.
When I was a kid we always got to open a present on Christmas Eve. I've been bribing him with that so he'll be good this week. That bribe isn't working too well.
Even though he's acting like a crackhead, it sure makes the excitement of Christmas fun. I can only imagine what he will say on Christmas morning. I'll be videoing him since one year he opened a toy and yelled "oh shit". Good times people, good times.

hahahahah!! I can just hear that coming out of his mouth for some reason! Ava and I have been talking about how to accept a gift that you don't really love. She said that she should " tell the person thank you and act like she loves it and then when we leave it is ok to say it is retarded"
Nice..
Happy holidays to you and yours!
Lindsey
That must have been some gift!
I LOVE your header pic! Freaking adorable.
Sounds like you've got yourself one cool kid. Reminds me of myself at that age.
AMEN ~ Great title, you nailed it.
I'm in the same boat. It is amazing how easy he is getting up.
His arm isn't asleep or anything!! (His favorite excuse for not getting up)
Seems that Santa coming has put him on MY naughty list though.
geez
Sweetie, mine still doesn't sleep good on Xmas Eve, and he'll be 20 in 4 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! At least he's old enough now I can drug him legally. LOLOLOL
Merry Christmas!
And today, all I can say is "glad it's over for another year".
love,
your bah humbug mama
Hope you had a great Christmas! I'm sure sometime in the next week Speedy will go back to sleeping-in -- so he will be ornery again in the mornings when school starts!
Enjoy it while you can. Christmas morning is pretty boring after the kids grow up. Not that I'm anxious for grandchildren AT ALL! But it will all become fun again if/when we have little ones around.
